CIP Expands Capacity for More Multi-Coat Jobs

Demand is increasing again, and CIP is building again! Our new paint shop will be the perfect addition to our existing paint shop and state-of-the-art blasting shop because it will make our process more efficient. Now we can use the blasting shop just for blasting, and painting can be done just in our two paint shops. With two paint shops, we are expanding our capacity to perform more multi-coat jobs and do them faster. As an example, we can blast steel beams, prime them, and then coat them with epoxy followed by urethane by moving the beams through our three shops

CIP Meets Higher Demands with New Paint Shop

Back in 2021, we opened a new state-of-the-art blasting shop which was roughly the size of our existing paint shop. This allowed us to double the size of our paint building in 2021.

Now we are building a third building, which more than doubles our paint shop capacity. This new 96-foot by 150-foot building will be a state-of-the-art paint shop, with a 10-ton overhead crane, ventilation, and heating. Overall, this new building will allow us to complete larger projects and turn jobs around faster and more efficiently.

Groundbreaking started on the new 14,400 square foot building in July of this year (2024). Our contractor’s scheduled completion date is January of this year (2025), and it should be open for business in early February.

A special note here: All our shops are completely enclosed. This removes hinderance that some competitors have who blast and paint in open-air settings, sometimes working just under a roof. With completely enclosed blasting and painting shops, we are able to minimize environmental issues such as moisture, temperature or dust to impair the coatings process or delay a job.
