Bart Blood

Charlie Irwin, Jr.

Charlie joined Charlie Irwin Painting, which later became known as CIP, in February of 2000. Charlie previously worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Civil Engineer in the Nashville District office from 1993 to 2000. Current duties as President of CIP include day to day oversight of company, estimating and managing projects. He graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 1996 with a BS in Civil Engineering.

Certifications

Charlie’s certifications include NACE Level 3 Coatings Inspector #41225, SSPC C-3 Supervisor / Competent Person Training for Deleading of Industrial Structures, OSHA 30 and a Carboline Approved Fireproofing Applicator.

Brandon Maynard

Brandon joined CIP in June 2018. He worked for PPG for 9 ½ years, working his way up to Store Manager. Brandon’s education includes an Associates Degree from Columbia State Community College where he majored in Business Management. While being a Manager at PPG Brandon attended Lipscomb University where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration Majoring in Accounting. He brings years of Management experience and his accounting degree to CIP. Brandon’s current roll at CIP is assisting Project Managers and preparing company financials.

Rodney Billingsley

Rodney joined CIP in 2002. Since 2006 he has been the Vice President where his duties have included project managing, marketing, estimating, and scheduling for various sized projects. After receiving his Associate of Architectural and Engineering degree, Rodney worked at Earl Swensson & Associates Architectural Firm in Nashville from 1986 until 2002. His duties include construction administration, project management, and computer drafting.

Certifications

Rodney holds certifications as a SSPC C-3 Supervisor / Competent Person Training for Deleading of Industrial Structures, OSHA 30 and Carboline Approved Fireproofing Applicator.

Keith Mabry

Keith joined CIP in May 2010. Keith has been involved in the coatings industry for 25 years. After graduating from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, he worked for Sherwin-Williams as a store manager and sales representative from 1991 to 2004. He worked for PPG Protective and Marine Coatings as a technical sales representative from 2004 to 2008 and with the Carboline Company as a technical sales representative from 2008 until 2010.

Certifications

Keith’s certifications include OSHA 30, NACE Level 3 Coatings Inspector #12236, SSPC Concrete Coatings inspector, Carboline Approved Fireproofing Applicator and SSPC C-3 Supervisor / Competent Person Training for Deleading of Industrial Structures. Current duties include estimating and project management on industrial projects.

Scott Beasley

Scott joined CIP in June 2016. Scott has worked in architectural coatings since 1999. Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi in May of 1999 and went to work with Sherwin Williams as a Manager Trainee the same year. He held the positions of Assistant Manager, Manager and Sales Representative. He worked with PPG Industries as Assistant Manager, Manager and Sales Representative for 10 years before joining Charlie Irwin Painting.

Certifications

Scott served on the Education Committee for the Nashville chapter of CSI, is a NACE Level 1 Coatings Inspector #45503 and Carboline Approved Fireproofing Applicator. He is also a member of the National Fireproofing Contractors Association (NFCA). Upon CIP’s purchase of Solitude Corp. in 2017, Scott moved to the fireproofing division where his duties include commercial fireproofing estimating and project management.

Clint Giles

Clint joined CIP in October 2017. Clint has worked in architectural coatings since 1998. He started with Sherwin Williams as a Sales Associate and transitioned into Assistant Store Manager. In 2002, Clint went to work for PPG Industries. At PPG he held various positions including Assistant Store Manager, Commercial Store Manager, Sales Representative, and Field Sales Trainer. His current duties include commercial estimating and project management.

Jason Campbell

Jason joined CIP in February 2019. Jason has been involved in the coatings industry for 25 years. He started his career in 1994 working with PPG Paints & Coatings as Inside Sales then worked his way to a Store Manager and then to Outside Sales for the last 15 years. Jason serviced all segments of paints and coatings over his career, including commercial and industrial, making product recommendations, offering technical advice, and providing bids for paints and coatings.

Certifications

Jason’s certifications include NACE level 1 Coatings Inspector #72828. Current Duties include estimating and project management of commercial projects.

Mike Miller

Mike joined CIP in April of 2020. Mike has been in the coatings business for 27 years. He started his career as a truck driver at Porter Paints and worked his way to inside sales associate then assistant store manager and then store manager. He became a outside sales representative for PPG in 2015 and was there until joining the CIP team. His current duties include commercial estimating and project management.

Blake Soeters

Blake joined the CIP team in February of 2023. He has been involved in the coatings business for over 20 years. Blake started out in the industry painting through the summers of high school, and continued painting while attending Southern Connecticut State University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After graduating, Blake started a residential painting company where he was self-employed for several years before going to work on the supplier side with Sherwin Williams and later with PPG paints. Most recently, before starting with CIP, Blake worked as a Project Manager in Commercial Painting for 2 years.

Louis Davis

Louis joined CIP in November 2015. Louis came to CIP from Thompson Station Church where he served from 2000 to 2015 as the Religious Education Pastor administrating three services and Bible Study hours and an aggressive outreach program for 2,500 persons on Sundays. Louis’s ministry now is through the workplace at CIP. David Mayo

David joined CIP in July 2019 as Field Operations Manager for the Fireproofing Division. He was promoted to Account Manager/Business Development in April 2022. Previously, David worked in the coatings industry with Sherwin Williams for thirteen years and in the Polyurethane Spray Foam industry with NCFI Polyurethanes for the past nine years. David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University in 1998. David held the positions of Inside Sales, Store Manager, and Account Manager with the Sherwin Williams Co. He joined NCFI Polyurethanes in 2010 and worked as an Account Manager covering a five-state territory selling to commercial applicators and spray foam roofing contractors. David’s current duties include expanding revenue with existing and new clients through networking and relationship building activities.

David Boner

David joined CIP in June 2010. David has been involved in the industrial coating industry sinse 1985. His experience includes working on projects such as Water / Waste Water, Chemical Plants, Food and Beverage, Sports Arena’s and various other projects requiring blasting, coatings and containments.

Certifications

David’s certifications include OSHA 30, NACE Level 1 Coating Inspector #43744, Fireproofing Applicator, SSPC C-3 Supervisor / Competent Person Training for Deleading of Industrial Structures, Plural Component Spray Pump Operator and Polyurea Pump Operator. Currently, David’s duties include scheduling and overseeing all industrial projects.

Tim Dotson

Tim joined CIP in 2016. Tim has been in the painting business for 35 years, starting painting when he was 16 years old. He became a foreman in a commercial painting company when he was 20 and has been painting ever since. He is skilled in hanging vinyl wallcovering, sandblasting and spraying all types of specialty finishes. He enjoys the challenge of completing very difficult jobs. Currently, Tim is a Commercial Superintendent overseeing multiple Foremen and jobs for CIP.

Daniel Paul

Daniel joined CIP in 2019 as the full-time delivery personnel. In 2022 Daniel was promoted to the Commercial Shop Manager position. Daniel’s current duties include overseeing and managing the Commercial Shop operations with regards to scheduling deliveries of tools, equipment, paint, sundries and other essentials to all CIP job sites.

Lamar Ward

Lamar joined CIP in January 2020 as General Superintendent – Fireproofing and was promoted to Field Operations Manager – Fireproofing in April 2022. Lamar has been in the fireproofing field since 2016. Lamar started at BrandSafeway as a laborer, within months Lamar became a Fireproofing applicator. In 2020, Lamar was promoted to production manager at CIP. His current duties include the day to day decisions on the work site in conjunction with upper management, and to make sure the job is done correctly with maximum attention to quality.

Pete Jervis

Pete joined the CIP team in January of 2023. Prior to CIP, Pete had extensive experience in the field of Safety Management. Recently, he was with FLASH in Green Lake, WI where he held the position of Safety Manager. He oversaw a fleet of 80 drivers in 5 different states, two mine sites in TX and a small mom and pop grocery store. Prior to that, Pete was with Covenant Transportation where he was a Learning Consultant in the Safety department. Other experience includes, the New York Power Authority, Kohl’s, and BMO Harris Bank, all either in a Safety or Learning and Development capacity.

Pete earned his Bachelor’s degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University. After college and before a real professional career, he played minor league hockey in Jacksonville, FL where he called home for 14 years. Hockey allowed him to hone his very nonprofessional golf skills and get up close and personal with alligators pulling balls out of the drink. Pete is also an excellent swimmer, which is important after falling out of my kayak on weekend trips.

Greg Dotson

Greg joined the CIP team in 2017. Greg has over 32 years of experience in the painting industry including industrial, commercial and residential painting. His skills include all types of application methods and also include texture spraying and epoxy coating applications. He is OSHA 30 and CPR certified. Currently, Greg is a Commercial Field Superintendent overseeing multiple Foremen, field employees, subcontractors and jobs.

Charlie Rogers

Charlie joined CIP in 2016. Charlie has been in the paint and wall covering industry since 1986. His experience includes working on projects such as Opryland Hotel, Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, The Grand Ole Opry, and more. Charlie has earned OSHA 30 and CPR certifications. His current duties include overseeing field operations for the Commercial Division.

Mickey Hughey

Mickey joined CIP 2003 as a painter. He worked his way up to Commercial Foreman in 2006. Mickey has been in the painting industry his entire life, starting part time in the summers with Charlie Irwin Sr. Mickey is skilled in all types of application methods including brushing, rolling, spraying and sandblasting. Currently, Mickey is a Commercial Superintendent helping to oversee our Foreman, multiple jobs, field employees and subcontractors. Mickey holds certifications of OSHA 10, OSHA 30 and various other safety certifications.
