CIP’s Commercial and Industrial Painting Service Partners with Both Hands

For the second year in a row, Charlie Irwin Painting was proud to offer our commercial and industrial painting service on a project for a ministry called Both Hands. The mission of Both Hands is in perfect alignment with CIP’s Mission and our Vision Statement (shown here on the right). Both Hands’ mission is to fulfill James 1:27 by serving orphans, widows, and Christian adoptive families. 

Here’s how Both Hands works: a team of family, friends, and volunteers performs labor-focused tasks for a widow such as painting, cleaning, landscaping, and de-cluttering. The volunteers raise financial support for their project by sending letters and sharing a fundraising webpage. Then, the funds raised go to help families with the cost of adoption.

One Street – Two Projects

In 2023, the CIP team was able to complete two great projects for two local widows. We selected  Ms. Nilda and Ms. Sally, who live across the street from each other. We completed several much-needed repairs on their homes including landscaping, deck repair, deck staining, house painting, tree trimming, window and door replacements and much more. 

You can see from the before and after photos why both ladies were so happy with the renovations to their homes. Ms. Nelda was particularly happy to have her house transformed into the look of a beach house in her native country of Belize.

Because labor and materials were supplied by CIP or donated by several of our vendors, 100% of the funds raised helped fund adoptions for other local families. We exceeded our goal of $10,000 and raised the goal to $15,000.
