Joey Vaden
Joey started with CIP on March 14, 2023. He has been involved in the painting industry since he was 15 years old. Joey started running jobs for commercial painting companies in Nashville when he was in his early twenties and looks forward to being a leader in the field for CIP. Joey is trained and skilled in all application methods including spray machines, brushing and rolling. Additionally, Joey has seven years as a skilled trim carpenter for a local custom construction company. Joey has his OSHA 30 certification and his duties will include overseeing multiple Foremen, field employees, subcontractors and job sites.
John Victory
John joined CIP in 2023. He was born and raised in Nashville TN. John has 3 children and 5 grandchildren. He enjoys boating, hunting and fishing. John previously worked for TDS Telecom for 7 years before joining CIP. He has worked as a painter and in the communication field since I was 15 years old. His roles included being a Foreman, Project Manager and a Field Supervisor. His current duties include helping to oversee our Foreman, multiple jobs, field employees and subcontractors.
Butch Worrell
Butch joined CIP in October of 2017 when his fireproofing company, Solitude Corp., was purchased by CIP. Previously, Butch was the owner of Phoenix Fireproofing, which later became Solitude Corp. He has been involved in the fireproofing industry for over 30 years. As an owner / operator Butch has performed all types of fireproofing from cementitious to fiber and from intumescent to industrial. He has received training from Isolatek, WR Grace and Carboline in their materials and applications. Types of jobs completed include stadiums, hotels and high-rise complexes on an international basis. Currently, Butch’s duties include; fireproofing estimating and project management.
Chad Hickey
Chad joined CIP in June of 2018. Chad has been in the architectural coatings industry for over 20 years. Growing up in a family of painting contractors, Chad was able to learn many skills of the trade hands on. After graduating from Middle Tennessee State University, Chad started his career with Sherwin Williams as a Manager Trainee. He held positions of Store Manager and Sales Representative until 2009. In 2009, Chad went to work for Valspar as a Regional Manager. His duties included managing a team of Territory Managers servicing over 50 Lowe’s Home Improvement stores in multiple states. His current duties include growing the brand of CIP and building customer relationships with new and existing clients.
Melvin Williams
Melvin joined CIP in April 2021. Melvin earned a Finance degree from Lipscomb University with a minor in Marketing in May of 2013, where he was also a standout baseball player. Melvin started his career in the paint industry with PPG Industries in the Manager Trainee program. After two years, he worked in the medical field in the accounts payable department before joining Charlie Irwin Painting. Melvin’s responsibilities include Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Job Setup.
Jonah Irwin
Jonah joined CIP in May 2021 after graduating from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science. Starting in 2014, Jonah has worked with CIP part-time in the field with the Industrial, Fireproofing, and Commercial divisions. His current duties include estimating and project management within the Industrial Division.
Ricky Gongwer
Ricky joined CIP September 2019. Ricky has worked for many years in Banking/Customer Relation centered jobs. In 2013 Ricky and his family moved overseas to serve the Lord as Missionaries. He served 6 years overseas and returned to the U.S. in 2019. Soon after returning, he joined the CIP team. His current duties are Quality Control Manager, and he is part of our Safety Team.
Cristina Mirodone
Cristina joined CIP in March 2022 after working as a Contract Administrator for Trinity Industries and Trinity’s corporate spinoff, Arcosa, Inc. for a combined 23 years. Originally from Bucharest, Romania, Cristina moved to the United States in 1991 and became a US Citizen in 2004. She and her husband moved from Dallas, Texas to Middle Tennessee in 2018. Cristina’s duties include A/R and Billing.
Kayla Bardalez
Kayla joined CIP December 2021. Kayla has worked as an Administrative Assistant and Customer Care Specialist for several years. Originally from Memphis TN, Kayla relocated to Virginia in 2017. In 2021 Kayla decided to return to Tennessee to be closer to her family. Shortly after moving to Nashville, she accepted a position to become part of the CIP team. Her current duties include assisting the office in day to day tasks, managing Bid Tracker, Peer Assist, Change Orders and multiple other functions.
Michael Phillips
Michael joined CIP’s Fireproofing Division in 2019. He has worked in the Fireproofing industry since 2017. In April 2022, Michael was promoted to Superintendent of the Fireproofing Division. His current duties include overseeing field operations for all Fireproofing jobs.
Jeff Boggs
Jeff joined CIP in 2006 as the Commercial Shop Manager. He attended the Graco Spray Equipment Repair College to become certified in spray equipment repairs. In 2022, Jeff was promoted to Safety Manager. As Safety Manager, Jeff works to prevent workplace accidents and promote health and safety awareness and education to all divisions of CIP. He serves as the chairman of the Safety Committee which is responsible for making sure that employees follow health and safety laws and creates policies for a safer work environment.
Tony Suggs
Tony joined CIP in 2015. He started his career at Porter Paint as an Inside Salesman in 1986. He then joined the Sherwin Williams paint company as an Assistant Manager becoming a Store Manager 1988. Tony started his own Paint Contracting business in 1993 applying Residential and Commercial Coatings through 2008. In 2008, he joined a Residential and Commercial Construction Company as an Estimator and Project Manager prior to joining CIP. His current duties include overseeing, running and managing the Blast and Paint Shops located in Shelbyville TN.
Adie Hensel
Adie joined the CIP team in March of 2023. She has lived in Tennessee her whole life, and absolutely loves the state so much that she attended The University of Tennessee, Knoxville and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Adie recently got married this past year to her high school sweetheart and moved to Columbia TN. She is so excited to be a part of the team here at CIP where everyone is so encouraging and helpful, and she can’t wait to get started as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. Her job responsibilities include A/R and Billing among various other projects.
